Athens Syntagma Square and the historic Athens center

Discover Athens Syntagma Square: A Historic Landmark
Visit the Athens city's most historic square, the Syntagma Square,  just 13' on foot from the Titania Hotel Athens. Syntagma Square took its name from the Greek Constitution, which the king had agreed upon after a public demand during the first days of Greek independence in 1843. Thus, this place is an important landmark in the modern history of the country. Today, it is a great meeting point, as it is centrally located and connects the rest of the city via the Metro station.
The Greek Parliament is located directly opposite Syntagma Square. It is a neoclassical building with a long history and right in front of the Parliament you can watch the change of guards. The soldiers who guard the Parliament wear traditional clothes and it is definitely a spectacle not to be missed. Following the same direction, you can head to the National Garden for a refreshing walk to the Zappeion. Even steps away, there is the temple of Olympian Zeus and the Kallimarmaro Stadium.
For those looking for a different experience, from Syntagma Square there is the Athenian shopping street of Ermou. Here are all the brands and the most impressive shops of the center. So you can plan your shopping in the heart of the city and then relax in one of the local cafes or restaurants. The Titania Hotel Athens privileged location makes it ideal for a day trip to the city center.
